The LORD will be king over the whole earth.
On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name.

Help Needed: One-Time Communion
Yesterday, I discovered the regular communion preparers will be out of town this upcoming weekend. Is anyone is available to assist with setting up communion for one time this Saturday? Time is flexible. Please email me at bnelson@topekabiblechurch.org or call me at 785-234-5545 x320. Thanks!

Bluegrass Feedback
Am I really in Kansas, or Rocky Top, TN? Here are some of the comments recieved this week...

> ...really enjoyed the bluegrass worship music on Sunday. Let's have more. However, I am still waiting for Calypso music Sunday and Gregorian chant Sunday.

> The worship service yesterday was your best ones!!!!!  We loved the old favorites done the way they were written. And the blue grass style was good too.  It seemed that the audience really was much more involved also. I loved the string instruments.  I had no idea that your one man could play a bass viol.  REALLY play a bass viol.  Loved that sound. How about doing that like once a month?  You guys were all so good with your timing, etc.  That must have taken a LOT of work.
Now, how about doing one with just brass? And adding a piano with that?  You have tremendous talent in making all of this happen.

> My mother just moved here from Georgia to live at Atria Retirement Center.  My father died April 1, very suddenly.  She asked me yesterday if I would take her to my church.  She has grown up in the Baptist Church--my father was a pastor.  The music this morning was just what she needed!  It was so uplifting for her.  She said as we looked at the bulletin: "I will enjoy the music this morning since that's the kind of music the boys play [my brothers are musicians]."  On the way home from the service, she said "My daddy would have loved that music."  It's not what she's used to in a service, but it turned out just to be the kind of upbeat music that she needed to hear today.  "Leaning on The everlasting Arms" is a phrase we both commented on as that is what she has done to get her through this time so amazingly well.  Wow--what great musicians--and again the choice of hymns was definitely inspired!

> Yesterday was the first "bluegrass" worship I've been to, and it was GREAT!!!! Everyone did such a fabulous job! It's so nice to have a switch-up….keeps people on their toes! Never know what to expect! Thank you so much for the hard work you put into our worship services! It is truly appreciated! :)

PRAYER & PRAISES
email a prayer or praise

Ron Mullins (vocalist) - Ron had surgery last Friday to remove a bunion and bone spur.  It went well, however, he started running a fever on Monday. After taking antibiotics, he's doing better. Pray for a complete recovery.UPDATED

Brad Stauffer (camera) - Brad's brother John and sister-in-law Kim live in Olathe. Kim's brother Jeff is going through a rough time in his life. Pray that he understands his familiy's love and Christ's love .UPDATED

Jamie Taylor (drums) - Pray for Jamie as he works at Camp Barnabus again this summer. He said "This last week was super hard.  The camper population was mainly kids with autism and Down's syndrome.  That's a very mentally draining week.  For me, mental exhaustion is worse than physical exhaustion, and that leads to little patience and high emotion." But he followed it up with how incredible God is working through the camp and his own personal time there.UPDATED

Kelly Crandall (violin) - Kelly will be on a summer mission trip to South Africa via two weeks training in Florida.  She left June 20 and returns August 15. Pray for safety and that lives would be impacted for Christ.

Stephanie Teagarden & Matt Teagarden (vocalist, tech) - Praise that Matt's mom's brain surgery in Chicago went very well. Pray for a smooth recovery and continued witness opportunities for the Teagardens with their family. A follow up surgery was scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, and she continues to recover well.

Angie Shelton (trumpet) - Angie will be left on Tuesday, June 17th for a trip to China to teach English for six weeks to adults in Beijing.  She is going with an organization called TeachOverseas.org.  She will return August 5th. Pray for safety and a productive time while she is there.

Joyce Harris (violin, cello, vocalist, kids choir director, she does it all) - Joyce's daughter, Sarah, left for Kenya on June 13.  Pray for safety in travel and for the team as they conduct Bible School for children. Sarah is currently on her way back home.

Dustin & Laura Fluke (trumpet), Josh & Eryka Benteman (drums)- Babies on the way, pray for continued health and smooth deliveries
